The Oceania Tennis Federation (OTF) is pleased to announce the election of Vicki Reid from Tennis Australia as its new President, marking a historic moment as she becomes the first woman to lead the organisation.
With extensive experience in tennis administration and development, Vicki has been the architect of the four-year Pacific Women and Girls program, which has significantly increased female participation in tennis across the Pacific islands and created pathways for young women in the sport.
“I am deeply honoured to accept this position and grateful for the trust placed in me by our member nations,” said Vicki. “I’m looking forward to working closely with the board and all Member Nations to grow tennis throughout our diverse region. We have tremendous potential to develop the sport at all levels, from grassroots participation to high-performance pathways.”
Vicki continued, “The Pacific Women and Girls program has shown what we can achieve when we work together with a clear vision. I hope to bring this collaborative approach to all aspects of tennis development across Oceania.”
OTF outgoing President, Cyrille Mainguy threw his support behind Vicki and welcomed her Presidency, stating, “Vicki brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective that will benefit tennis development throughout our member nations. Her proven track record with the Pacific Women and Girls program demonstrates her ability to create meaningful change and lasting impact.”
