The 15th Pacific Games 2015 Opened by Prince Andrew, Duke of York

The 15th Pacific Games were welcomed in with much fanfare on Saturday 4th July in Port Moresby, 2015 Pacific Games.pngPapua New Guinea and were officially opened by the Duke of York, Prince Andrew. A total of 24 nations are competing in 28 Sports. For the first time ever Australia and New Zealand will compete in 4 sports: sailing, taekwondo, rugby sevens and weightlifting. The Pacific Games Council see their inclusion as improving the quality of competition and this is on a trial basis.

The tennis event commenced on Monday 6th July with the Teams Event. This will be followed by the Individual Events with a collective total of 7 Gold, 7 Silver and 7 Bronze Medals at stake.
