Tennis Fiji and Tennis Australia have been building capacity to provide playing opportunities for Fijian children so that they can develop their physical, cognitive and social skills in a fun, safe and inclusive environment. Through working closely with FNSC Development Officers in rural and remote communities to deliver outreach programs, girl’s sports camps and inclusive programs in special skills, and assisting with training of teachers in delivering the program in school settings, Tennis Fiji has developed a solid base for health and wellbeing in Fiji through the sport.
Your role will be to support existing activities but will also focus on building capacity for the delivery of inclusive Tennis Fiji activities in rural and regional areas using the FNSC’s ‘educate the educator’ and ‘train the trainer’ programs. You will also enhance operations of the organisation through enhancing data collection and reporting capabilities and where possible training Tennis Fiji staff and volunteers in social media and marketing strategies. Your role will help increase awareness of, and participation in, tennis in Fiji.
