Saoirse Breen Wins her 2nd ITF Doubles Title in 2021 and Achieves the Rare Feat of a Golden Set

17 year old Fiji Tennis Player, Saoirse Breen, last weekend won her second ITF Doubles Title for 2021. She had a month ago won the ITF J5 Doubles Title in Montemar, Spain. Playing in the ITF J5 Event in Bergen, Norway, on Indoor Hardcourts, she teamed with her French partner, Delia Gaillard, to win the Final 6-2, 6-2 against the 2nd seeds from Sweden Emma Lindh and Isabella Svahn.

Earlier in the day, she played the Singles Final. After a marathon 3 hr 20 minute match, she finally lost to the top seed from Denmark, Vilma Krebs Hyllested 6-3, 6-7(5), 7-5. Earlier in the week, she achieved the rare Singles feat by winning a Golden Set. This is an extremely rare event in tennis as a player must win 24 consecutive points within a set(4 points in each game) to win the set 6-0.
