Both Pacific Oceania and Guam have played in the just completed Junior Billie Jean King Cup Asia/Oceania Pre-Qualifying Event in Kuching, Malaysia. There were 14 Teams from Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Lebanon, Maldives, Kuwait, Turkmenistan, Pacific Oceania, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Brunei, Vietnam and Guam competing. The Pacific Oceania team finished 9th and the Guam Team,14th. Malaysia and Philippines qualifying to move forward to the Qualifying Event.
Representing Pacific Oceania were:
– Colita Hakena(PNG), Raetea Rongo(CI), Alalilo Tepa(TUV) and Abigail Tere-Apisah(PNG-captain),
Representing Guam were:
– Leah San Augustin, Emely Rosario and Rachel San August and Ryan Horn (captain).
