Pacific Oceania Team Too Strong For Iran

The Pacific Oceania Team were far too strong for Iran on Day 2 of the Fed Cup in Thailand winning the Tie 3-0.

Abigail Tere-Apisah again got Pacific Oceania off to the perfect start winning her singles match against Sadaf Sadeghhvaziri 61,61.

In the #1 Singles Steffie Carruthers was equally far too strong for her opponent Sara Amiri 60,61 giving Pacific Oceania an unassailable lead 2-0.

Ayana Rengiil and Mayka Zima then played their first Fed Cup match for Pacific Oceania beating the Iranian pairing of Sara Amiri/Ghazaleh Torkaman 64,62 to claim their first Fed Cup win.
