Pacific Oceania Players Play in 2025 Australia Open Asia-Pacific Elite U14 Event

Two Pacific Oceania Players played in the 2025 Australia Open Asia-Pacific Elite U14 Event. Uraia Biauniceva (FIJ) played in the U14 Boys Event and Alalili Tepa (TUV) in the U14 Girls Events. Accompanying them were Coaches Eddie Mera (PNG) and Ruby Coffin(FIJ). There were 8 Asia-Pacific Nations in each event as follows:
– Boys U14: Australia, New Zealand, India, Thailand, Korea, Hong Kong China, Kazakhstan and Pacific Oceania
– Girls U14: Australia, New Zealand, India, Thailand, Korea, China, Japan and Pacific Oceania

The winners of the U14 Boys Event was Ethan Domingo (AUS) and the U14 Girls Event Siyeon Sim(KOR).
Organized by Tennis Australia in collaboration with the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) and the Oceania Tennis Federation (OTF), this year marked the 4th year of this event. It brought together 16 top junior players from the Asia-Pacific region. Australia’s Assistant Minister for International Affairs, Tim Watts, presented the trophies to the champions. Additionally, OTF President Cyrille Mainguy and ATF President Yuriy Polskiy, awarded the positional honors.
