The Pacific Oceania Billie Jean King Cup Team to play in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the Asia/Oceania Group II Event (A) in the week commencing Monday 8 August has just been announced. The Team is:
- Violet Apisah (Papua New Guinea)
- Abigail Tere-Apisah (Papua New Guinea)
- Patricia Apisah (Papua New Guinea)
- Kalani Soli (American Samoa)
- William O’Connell (Fiji)-captain
There will be 12 Nations competing: Chinese Taipei, Hong Hong China, Iran, Iraq, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Pacific Oceania, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam. There will be 2 Pools, one of 5 teams (Pool A) and one of 6 Teams (Pool B). The winners of both pools will play off for promotion.
