Both Violet Apisah (PNG) and Carol Lee (NMI) were in devastating form easily beating their Singaporean Singles Opponents. Violet Apisah beat Audrey Tong (SGP) 6-1, 6-1 and then Carol Lee gave Pacific Oceania and unassailable lead when she beat Sue Yan Tan (SGP) 6-2, 6-1. In the dead doubles rubber Carol Lee/Patricia Apisah lost 6-4, 6-1.
