Pacific Oceania Girls Advance Into Doubles Semi-Finals of Gallipoli Youth Tennis Cup

There was much to celebrate today at Melbourne Park when three Pacific Oceania Girls won through to the semi-finals in the Doubles of the Gallipoli Youth Tennis Cup.

Tarani Kamoe and Annie Shannon(FIJ), seeded 4th, gave a clinical display in disposing of Australian 9th seeds, Monique Belovukovic and Stephanie Yamada 6-4,6-4. They will now play 2nd seeds Anja Dokic and Zoe Hives.

On the other side of the draw, Marcia Tere-Apisah (PNG) pairing up with Australian Katerina Valos beat 7th seeds Noelleda Ah San and Danielle McIntyre in a very tight match finally won in a Match tie Break 6-3, 5-7, (11-9).
