ITF Releases ITF Global Tennis Report 2024

The ITF has just released the ITF Global Tennis Report 2024 which incorporates the data of 199 Nations. It also includes player performance data drawn from the ITF’s own databases. This report is the largest examination of the worldwide tennis landscape undertaken. The report highlights a 25.6% participation increase since 2019 with 106 million now playing tennis globally. The ITF Global Tennis Report is an essential tool for helping the ITF identify trends and guide decisions for future growth.

There are more people globally playing tennis than ever before with an increase from 84.4 million to 106 million in the last 5 years. This increase is all the more significant given the fact that this period includes the Covid-19 years. From a Regional Level, the following are the numbers of the contributing Nations from each of the 6 regions:

  • Africa – 47 contributing nations from 52 ITF members
  • Asia – 42 contributing nations from 45 ITF members
  • Central America and Carribean – 33 contributing nations from 34 ITF members
  • Europe – 48 contributing nations from 50 ITF members
  • North America – 2 contributing nations from 2 ITF members
  • Oceania – 18 contributing nations from 20 ITF members
  • South America – 10 contributing nations from 10 ITF members
