The ITF has cancelled the 2021 ITF World Junior Tennis Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying Event that was scheduled to be held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan from the 7th-20th June. The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted this event, where Pacific Oceania were scheduled to compete, due to travel and other difficulties. This decision was made by the ITF following the withdrawal of seven (7) boy’s teams and eight (8) girls teams.
Three (3) boys teams and four (4) girls teams from the Asia/Oceania region qualify for the ITF World Junior Tennis Finals in Prostejov, Czech Republic from 2-7 August 2021. The ITF Juniors Committee has determined that the average final position of each Nation from 2017, 2018 and 2019 Asia/Oceania final qualifying events will be used to determine the qualified teams from the region.
