Final Davis Cup Win Not Enough To Avoid Relegation to Group IV

The Pacific Oceania Davis Cup Team won their final relegation Tie against Oman 2-1 but this win wasn’t enough to avoid relegation to Group IV in 2014.

Daniel Llarenas kept his 100% winning record in tact by winning the #2 singles against Oman’s Mudrik Al Rawahi 6-4, 6-1. William O’Connell lost his #1 singles match against the Oman #1 Khalid Al Nabhani 4-6,6-3,6-1.

In the final doubles match Brett Baudinet and Daniel Llarenas convincingly won 6-4, 6-2 against the Oman pairing of Khalid Al Nabhani and Mudrik Al Rawahi to maintain their unbeaten doubles record in Dubai of 5 wins without a loss
