Davis Cup Group III Postponed

The ITF have advised that the Davis Cup, in which our Pacific Oceania Team were due to compete in at the end of April, has been postponed. Originally this was schedule to be held in Myanmar but due to security concerns, the ITF took the decision to move this to another country.

The ITF have taken the decision not to hold the Davis Cup events in the planned week of 29 April. Their priority is to ensure that the highest standards of hosting are retained and they do not believe that would be possible with the 10 days lead time

The ITF are looking to reschedule this and are assessing possible dates that are as player-friendly as possible and will take into account the professional calendar and other events scheduled in the Asia region. At this stage, they are looking at a window between May and the week commencing  9 September (Davis Cup protected week). Further updates re the new date will be posted once this is known.
