Henderson State’s Annie Shannon took home the 2016 Great American Conference’s Women’s Tennis Player of the Year Award headlining the Great American Conference Awards Banquet.
Shannon, last year’s Freshman of the Year, became the first player in Great American History to win Player of the Year one year after claiming the Freshman award. She posted a 15-2 record at No. 1 singles and teamed with Amanda Korinihona to go 15-4 as the Reddies’s top doubles team.
