The Event was again held at the Rick Ninete Tennis Centre at Hatagna, Guam.
In the Boy’s Singles, Hong-Lin Fu (TPE) beat Hiroki Fujita (JPN) 63, 76(5). In the Boy’s Doubles, Matthew Garcia (PHI)/Nan Husn Lin (TPE) defeated the top seeded Japanese pairing of Ryota Kaneda (JPN)/Sota Minami (JPN) 62, 46, 10-8
In the Girl’s singles event, Kanami Hayashige (JPN) defeated Chia Yi Tsao (TPE) 57,64,64. Then in the Girl’s Doubles Final Kanami Hayashige (JPN)/Chia Yi Tsao (TPE) defeated Kanami Hayashige (JPN)/ Rio Osoegawa (JPN) 16, 62, 10-5
2018
As in previous years, players from Korea and Chinese Taipei totally dominated the Boys and Girls Events of the Chuck E Cheese ITF Junior Championships at the rick Ninete Tennis Centre at Hatagna, Guam.
In the Boy’s 18 Singles, Yeongseok Jeong (KOR) won both the Boy’s Singles as he had done the previous year beating Syunya Maryyama (JPN) 6-3, 6-3. In the Boy’s Doubles, Syunya Maruyama/ Riku Takahata (JPN) defeated compatriots Ryota Ishii/Ryota Kaneda (JPN) 6-2,7-6 (4)
In the Girls 18 Events, Primrada Jallavapornvanit (THA) won both the girl’s singles and doubles Events. In the Singles Final she defeated Miyuka Kimoto (JPN) 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (2) then in the Girl’s Doubles Final she teamed with Chia Yi Tsao (TPE) to defeat the Japanese pairing of Kokomi Koyama/ Ai Yamaguchi 0-6, 6-3, 10-3
2017
Players from Korea and Chinese Taipei totally dominated the Boys and Girls Events of the Chuck E Cheese ITF Junior Championships at the rick Ninete Tennis Centre at Hatagna, Guam.
In the Boy’s 18 Singles, Yeongseok Jeong (KOR) won both the Boys singles and doubles. In the Singles he defeated Dong Ju Kim in the Final 63,62. Then he teamed up with compatriot, Jung Woo lee (KOR) to defeat the Japanese pairing of Syunya Maryama (JPN)/Riku Takahata (JPN) 67(4), 63, 10-5.
In the Girls 18 Events, Chao-Yi Wang (TPE) won both the Girls 18 Singles and Doubles Events. In the Singles final she beat Miyu Nakashima 62,75. She then teamed with her compatriot, Yun-Chen Hsieh (TPE) to defeat Chen-Hsun Hsieh (TPE)/Fang-Hsien Wu (TPE) 62,63
2016
Pacific Oceania Junior Fed Cup player, Carol Lee (NMI)-pictured below, excelled amongst the 12 Pacific Oceania players who competed at the Chuck E. Cheese’s ITF Junior Event in Guam in May. She reached the quarter finals of both the Singles and Doubles Events. Carol Lee and 11 other players representing 4 other Pacific Oceania Nations – American Samoa, FSM, Guam, and Palau – were featured in the 3rd such tournament held at the Rick Ninete Tennis Centre in Hagåtña, Guam.

The only participant from American Samoa was Larry Magalasin, who played in the Boy’s Singles event and partnered Terry Rush (FSM) in the Boys Doubles event. Guam’s players in the Boy’s Singles and Doubles events were Mason Caldwell, Camden Camacho, James Hourican, Derek Okuhama, and Gabriel Tan. In the Girl’s Singles event, Anika Sachdev and Victoria Smith, both from Guam, also played. Carol Lee and Nathania Tan (NMI) and Ayana Rengiil (PAL) also played in both the Girl’s Singles and Doubles.
Of the 12 players from Pacific Oceania, Carol Lee and Ayana Rengiil (pictured below) were the only Pacific Oceania seeded singles players; seeded 6 and 7 respectively in the Girl’s Singles Main Draw.

After beating Wild Card Karen Kondo (JPN) 6-1, 6-1 in the 1st Round, Lee then defeated Ling Hsuan Wei (TPE), a Girl’s Doubles event finalist, 6-2, 6-3 in the 2nd round to set up a quarterfinal match with top seed Sara Tsukamoto (USA). Tsukamoto defeated Carol Lee 6-0, 6-3 reaching the final against Shiho Tsukuda (JPN). Tsukuda won the final decisively against Tsukamoto 6-1, 6-1. Earlier in the tournament, Tsukuda teamed up with partner Sakura Hosogi to win the Girl’s Doubles Final 6-2, 6-2 against sisters Ling Hsuan Wei and Ting-Chieh Wei (TPE).
Ayana Rengiil(PAL) won her 1st round match 6-1, 6-0 against Sophie Hamada (JPN) but then lost to Mana Kawamura (JPN) in the second round 6-1,6-1. Lee and Rengiil, seeded No. 2 in the Girl’s Doubles event, won their first match in three sets – 6-2, 1-6, 10-4 beating Nanami Okamoto/ Saki Oyama (JPN), before losing their Quarterfinal match against another Japanese pairing, Himeno Sakatsume and Tomoka Yoshida 6-1, 6-1.
In other Girl’s Singles matches, Nathania Tan lost her first-round match to Kawamura 6-2,6-1 and in Girl’s Doubles, paired with Japan’s Fuka Sano. Tan/Sano lost to Kawamura/Mahiro Koga 6-2, 6-0.Guam’s girls had tougher outings in the first round of singles. No. 4 Hosogi defeated Smith 6-0, 6-0 and Koga defeated Sachdev 6-0, 6-0. In Girls Doubles, No. 1 Charmaine Shi Yi Seah/Tsukamoto defeated Sachdev/Smith 6-0, 6-0.
The 7 Pacific Oceania players in the Boy’s Singles event suffered early losses in the main draw, winning only a combined 18 games against their opponents. Taiyo Hirano(JPN)defeated Terry Rush (FSM) 6-1, 6-4 and No. 2 Alester Magalit(HKG) defeated Terry Magalasin (ASA) 6-3, 6-0. Japan’s Soma Yokoyama defeated Okuhama 6-2, 6-2 and compatriots Syunya Maruyama and Yusuke Miyai defeated Mason Caldwell(GUM) 6-1, 6-3 and Camden Camacho (GUM) 6-2, 6-0, respectively. Finalist and No. 8 Seita Watanabe(JPN) defeated Tan 6-0, 6-0 and No. 6 Zheng Qi Jonathan Zhang(HKG) defeated Derek Hourican (GUM) 6-0, 6-0.
7th seed, Kai Kawano won the Boy’s Singles defeating doubles partner Seita Watanabe 7-6(6), 5-7, 6-1
In the Boy’s Doubles event, Magalasin/Rush defeated Caldwell/Camacho 6-2, 6-3 before losing to No. 1-seeded Ryuki Matsuda/Yohan Sung 6-3, 6-1. Okuhama partnered with Australia’s Charles Dossetter as Wild Cards, but lost their 1st round match to another pairing, Benjaminjacob Martin/Zhang 6-3, 6-1. Ryuya Ata/Maruyama won the Boy’s Doubles title with a 6-1, 5-7, 10-5 win over Kawano/Watanabe.”
2015: GUAM-MAY 2015
Unfortunately this 2nd Calvo’s Selectcare ITF Junior Championships was not able to be completed due to a typhoon that hit the Island of Guam when the Boy’s and Girl’s Singles were at the semi-final stages.
The Girl’s and Boy’s Doubles Events were completed with the Japanese pairing of Satoko Sueno/Yuhiko Uragami, the 3rd seeds, defeating their compatriots Ayumi Hirata/Sakura Hondo in the final 6-1, 6-1
The Boy’s Doubles saw the Singaporean pairing of Shaheed Alam/ Sherwin Foo defeat Marvin Bockers (GER)/ Enzo Chua (SIN) in the final 6-1, 6-3

2014:
The inaugural Guam ITF Junior Championships were held in the week of 12 May 2014 at the Hilton Guam Resort and Spa. The 4th seed, Jack Barber (USA) showed his class beating the top seed on the way to the final where he beat 7th seed, Leo Vithoontien (THA) 6-3, 6-4. Three Guam Singles players, Victor Tuncap, Mason Caldwell and Joshua Cepeda) were given Wild cards into the main draw but neither advanced to the 2nd round.
In the doubles Jack Barber (USA) continued his singles form when he teamed up with Chak Tin Chan (HKG) to beat the 2nd seeds from Australia, Bernard Bruno Nkomba and Kody Pearson 3-6, 6-2, 10-6.
In the Girl’s Singles final an injury forced a retirement to top see Yinglak Jittakoat (THA) who was beaten by 3rd seed Mai Hontama (JPN) 4-6, 6-3, 4-1 Retired. The Girl’s Doubles Final was an all Japan affair with 3rd seeds Satako Sueno and Yukiho Uragami defeating the unseeded pairing of Nagomi Higashitani and Mai Hontama 6-3, 6-4
