The East Pacific Regional Championships were held in Papeete, Tahiti from the 8th April to the 12th April with 55 players from American Samoa, Cook Islands, Samoa, Tahiti (French Polynesia) and Tonga competing to decide the best players in their regional age groups to then go to the Pacific Oceania Junior Championships in Fiji to decide the best in their age group in the whole Pacific Oceania Region.
