OTF Region Strongly Represented at the 2023 ITF AGM in Mexico

11 OTF Members attended the 2023 ITF AGM in Cancun, Mexico from Thursday 21st September-Sunday 24th September. This AGM also saw an election for the ITF President and also the ITF Board of Directors. The 11 attending from the OTF Region were:

  • David Smith (OTF-Joint EO)
  • Torgun Smith (Guam)
  • Cyrille Mainguy (Vanuatu)

During the AGM, there was an election for the President of the ITF who will serve a 4-year term from 2023-2027.
Incumbent President, David Haggerty, received 72.94% of the votes and was re-elected. There were 436 votes cast giving a required majority of 219 votes. Haggerty received 318 votes.

Also, there was an election for the ITF Board of Directors for the period of 2023-2027. 28 candidates stood for election to the Board. The 14 elected Board members received the highest number of recorded votes by delegates in a secret ballot, while also meeting the geographical representation criteria specified in the ITF Constitution. The following 14 candidates (with the votes received in brackets) have been elected to the Board for the period 2023-2027:

During the AGM, Tennis Australia and Tennis New Zealand received respectively Silver and Bronze Awards for their Gender Equality in Tennis Reward and Recognition Programmes
