The dates for the 3 ITF/OTF Regional Championships have been decided to be held respectively in Samoa, Vanuatu and Guam.
East Pacific April 17th – April 22nd 2023 – Apia
North Pacific April 24th – April 30th 2023 – Guam
West Pacific May 1st – May 7th 2023 – Port Vila
The POJC will be held from Monday 10th July to Wednesday 19th July – Lautoka
The first two and half days will focus on the u12 team event and day 3 to day 6/7 will focus on the U14 and U16 event. This will be subject to the number of entries. If you have an exceptional U12 player they may be able to play up in the U14 as well as the u12’s subject to OTF/ITF approval.
At this stage as part of the new regional program the remaining four days for the U12 players who finish after 2.5 days of match play will be a 4 day regional development camp . This is however subject to this program and the coach being appointed in time to run this program. Please could the host nations think about who is competent with Tournament Software and give Richard Breen the names of individuals from your Nation that are capable of running a regional event. They will be paid by the OTF to run the event. Possibly more training will need to be provided or we shall need to bring someone else in however we are trying to empower the islands and this stage every nation should have people capable of running tennis tournaments using Tournament Software
