Estonia Lead Pacific Oceania 2-0 in Davis Cup

The Pacific Oceania Davis Cup Team have lost both their singles matches on Day 1 of the Davis Cup by Rakuten, World Group II Play Off in Tallinn, Estonia. Clement Mainguy lost the 1st Singles Match against the veteran Jurgen Zoop (EST) 6-2, 6-4 in 1hr 15 min. Clement Mainguy dropped serve in the 3rd and 7th games of the 1st Set and the 5th game of the 2nd Set.

In the 2nd Singles Colin Sinclair lost to Mark Lajal (EST) 7-5,7-5 in 1hr 34min. Colin Sinclair started the match well breaking Lajal in the opening game but then had his serve broken in the 4th games and the set-deciding 12th game to lose the set 7-5. The 2nd set was a similar pattern with Colin Sinclair breaking serve in the 3rd game to lead 2-1 but then lost his serve in the 8th and the match deciding 12th game to lose the match 7-5, 7-5.

Tomorrow, Saturday 5th March at 1pm local time will be the Doubles followed by the #1 players playing each other followed by the #2 players playing each other.
