The Pacific Oceania Davis Cup team have been beaten 2-1 by Sri Lanka, a team that was relegated from Group II last year. Heve Kelley was beaten 61,63 by Harshana Godamanna before Colin Sinclair levelled the Tie 1-1 beating the #1 Sri Lankan player, Sharmal Dissanayake 64,64. In the deciding doubles, Sri Lanka prevailed 63,61
