Then debutante, Colin Sinclair, fresh from playing ITF Futures on the clay courts of Belgium, where he gained an ATP ranking, playing at #1, beat Kareem Al Allaf 64,60 to give Pacific Oceania an unassailable lead 2-0

Then in the dead doubles rubber the Pacific Oceania Doubles team of Brett Baudinet/Aymeric Mara were beaten 63,16,63. Day 1 results are Result_Day 1
