The Pacific Oceania Davis Cup team have been drawn in Pool A when play gets underway on the clay courts at the Enghelab Sports Complex in Tehran, Iran today in the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Asia/Oceania Zone Group III.
The teams in the 2 Pools and their respective rankings are:

Pool B:

The winner of Pool A will play off against the runner-up of Pool B and the winner of Pool B will play off against the runner-up of Pool A to determine which 2 Nations will advance to Asia/Oceania Zone Group II in 2017.
Two teams will be promoted and 2 relegated. In the relegation play off, Nations will compete in the following order:
- A3 vs B5
- A4 vs B4
- The Nation finishing 3rd in Pool B will not compete in positional play-offs
