The 2016 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas, Asia/Oceania Zone Group II Tie involving Pacific Oceania will commence next week, Monday 11th April, on the plexicushion courts of Hua Hin, Thailand.

There will be 2 Pools; Pool A with 5 teams and Pool B with 6 teams as below:
Pool A (5 teams)
Philippines – 48 (Nation Ranking)
Pool B (6 teams)
Indonesia – 60
The remaining teams will be drawn in pairs in the following current ranking order into either Pool A or B:
Hong Kong China – 61
Malaysia – 66
Singapore – 69
Pacific Oceania – 74
Iran – 77
Pakistan – 82
Also due the changes in the 2016 Fed Cup Regulation this year, the last three nations will be drawn together:
Kyrgyzstan – 85
Sri Lanka – 86
Bahrain – No Fed Cup ranking
The winner of Pool A plays the Winner of Pool B with that winner being promoted to Group 1 in 2017
