After two day’s play in the Teams Event, the semi-finalists in the Men’s and Women’s Team Event have been found.
The Men’s Semi-Finals will see New Caledonia play Tahiti and Papua New Guinea play Vanuatu. In pool play the 3 respective pools were won by New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea. Tahiti claimed their semi-final spot by being the best 2nd placed team in the 3 pools.
The Women’s Teams Event will see Papua New Guinea play Fiji and Tahiti play New Caledonia in the semi finals. Papua New Guinea only lost 3 games in their pool play and were in dominating form led by the Tere-Apisah sisters. Fiji claimed the 4th spot in the semi finals by virtue of being the 2nd best placed team in pool play.
