The Pacific Oceania Davis Cup team of Brett Baudinet, Gilles de Gouy, William O’ Connell, Daniel Llarenas and captain Cyrille Mainguy arrived in Dubai last weekend in preparation for their Asia/Oceania Group III Davis Cup Tie which starts today in Dubai, UAE.
Pacific Oceania(ranked #71 in the World) are in Pool B with Vietnam (#75), UAE (#89) and Cambodia (#100). They will play their opening Tie against the host Nation, UAE, commencing at 4:30pm local time Wednesday 11th September due to the heat which is over 40C in the day and 30C at night..
Two Pacific Oceania debutants will playing the Singles Matches in this Tie. William O’Connell will commence the Tie, playing in the #2 Singles Position, followed by Gilles de Gouy, playing in the #1 Singles Position. This will be followed by the Doubles.
