Two Oceania players, La Hunn Lam (NMI) and Aishi Das (NZL) travelled with their respective coaches, Jeff Race (NMI) and Celine Schneider(LUX) to play in the inaugural U14 Boys and Girls Championship recently at Wimbledon. This event brought together the 16 best U14 boys and girls together.
It was initially a round robin event with 4 pools of 4 with the winners of the 4 pools progressing to a knockout with consolation matches for those not reaching the semi-finals. All expenses for our 2 players and their coaches were paid by the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) with full access to the dressing rooms, player lounge and player restaurant.
